Rapper, Kevin Gates sentenced to 30 Months in jail for gun charge

Entertainment an hour ago American rapper,  Kevin Gates  has been sentenced to 30 months in jail for a weapons charge. According to  TMZ , the rapper pleaded guilty to a felony gun charge after his bail was denied earlier this month at a Bridgeview Courthouse hearing. The sentencing comes just a month after the rapper was re-arrested after he was sentenced to 180 days in prison for allegedly kicking a female fan during a 2015 concert. On the day of his supposed released, Gates was held back after police found that he had a gun charge pending and immediately threw him back into jail. The 31-year-old rapper was found guilty of the felony gun charge. Sources tell TMZ that the embattled MC will be transferred to the Illinois Department of Corrections. Leave a Comment

Lagos threatens to dethrone rulers conniving with kidnappers

an hour ago The Lagos State Government on Friday threathened to dethrone any traditional ruler found harbouring and aiding kidnappers in the state.The state’s Commissioner for Local Government and Community Affairs, Alhaji Muslim Folami, gave the warning at the ongoing ministerial briefing in commemoration of Gov.Akinwunmi Ambode’s second year in office. “Intelligence reveals that some of these Baales, particularly from Ikorodu and Ishawo collaborate with the miscreants to kidnapp innocent souls. “Yesterday, I told them to their faces this might lead to dethroning and we will do just that if investigations reveal that you are part of the criminality,” Folami said. 6 minutes ago A Federal High Court judge has signed the bail papers for the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra Nnamdi Kanu. NAIJ.com  learnt that Justice Nyako signed the papers on Friday afternoon, April 28, after all the conditions given to the IPOB leader was met. Three sureties including a Jewish Rabi and Senator Enyinnaya Abaraibe vouched to stand in and ensure the IPOB appears for trial at all times. Members of Nnamdi Kanu's family, his lawyers and sureties are currently heading to Kuje Prison to pick him up. The group in a convoy left of over 10 cars left the Federal High Court in Abuja after the bail conditions were perfected.
