According to the  Zambian Observer , Charles Obong, 52, who worked as a senior personnel officer in the Ministry of Public Service in Uganda from 2006 to 2016, reportedly wanted to use the cash to redeem his soul before God. Obong’s body was reportedly buried with K51, 300. Obong died recently after a long illness and was buried at his ancestral home in a metallic coffin estimated to have cost Shs20m. Akwa Ibom State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO),  DSP Bala Elkaner , reportedly disclosed this to newsmen, and added that the state Police Commissioner,  Zubairu Umar , is aware of the incident.
