Dead man buried with money to 'bribe' God

Oct 5, 2017 6:36 PM The body of a civil servant was buried with money to “bribe” God so that He could forgive his sins and save him from hell fire. According to the  Zambian Observer , Charles Obong, 52, who worked as a senior personnel officer in the Ministry of Public Service in Uganda from 2006 to 2016, reportedly wanted to use the cash to redeem his soul before God. Obong’s body was reportedly buried with K51, 300. Obong died recently after a long illness and was buried at his ancestral home in a metallic coffin estimated to have cost Shs20m. David Elic said his brother-in-law had left behind a will, dictating that when he died, his wife Margaret should put huge sums of money in his coffin. He planned to give the money to God to forgive his sins and save him from hell. But relatives and local leaders who attended the deceased’s send-off said the will didn’t say what sins Obong wanted to make amends for. He presented her with clothes, food and other personal items. Very commendable but what she really needs is urgent rehabilitation. “I was told about a young lady who’s mentally challenge just after she finish her NYSC and she as been sleeping on the street just at the back of Fela shrine… I went to visit her today and I started crying that who as done this to this beautiful lady. I feel so sad and devastated.. I pray that none you reading this who go mad or any of your relative in Jesus Amen… I decided to rush down to Shoprite to buy her news set of cloths from Max, also Food from Mr Biggs, KFC and soft drinks and I will be checking on her Every time I pray to God to give her healing.. Policeman storms court with Officers to remove Daughter from Trial

Oct 3, 2017 1:42 PM Idorenyin Akpabio , a policeman in charge of the anti-robbery unit in Akwa Ibom State, reportedly stormed a court to remove his daughter from trial. Akwa Ibom State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO),  DSP Bala Elkaner , reportedly disclosed this to newsmen, and added that the state Police Commissioner,  Zubairu Umar , is aware of the incident. The daughter, who was a sanitation defaulter apprehended by the sanitation task force attached to the state Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, was arraigned before the sanitation court. According to  New Telegraph Online , the girl had insulted the court and threatened to put a call through to her father who is a senior police officer in the state. Oct 1, 2017 2:27 AM The Nigeria Police Force named one of its facilities after the security officers who were killed and injured during a bank robbery in Imo state. Nigerian policemen are getting better encouragement for their hardiness based on the naming of a new office complex after two deceased sergeants, Chukwudi Iboko and Sunday Agbo, who died in a bank robbery in Imo state. A third sergeant, Otu Attang, who lost one of his eyes in the assault that occurred at a Zenith Bank branch in February 2017, was also immortalized. National police chief, Ibrahim Idris, confirmed that the initiative aims at giving better encouragement to brave law enforcement officers. The complex, located at the Nigeria Mobile Police Force 20 situated in Lagos was commissioned on Thursday, September 21, 2017, by Idris. As Punch News reports, the structure was built in honour of the late policemen and their colleague who survived the attack. The men had put in a tough resistance against the armed ro
