Kanye West announces 2020 presidential bid and Elon Musk endorses him

Kanye West has announced his plans to run for president in 2020.   The 43-year-old Billionaire rapper made the announcement on Saturday night, July 4, via his official Twitter account.    He wrote: “We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States! #2020VISION."   The announcement was endorsed by Tesla and SpaceX CEO, Elon Musk who tweeted: “You have my full support!”     Recall that at the MTV VMAs in 2015, West first announced that he would be running for president in 2020.  “As you probably could have guessed by this moment, in 2020, I have decided to run for president,” he said.    Last November, during a speech at the Fast Company Innovation Festival, he announced again he would be running in 2024. 603 new cases of Coronavirus recorded in Nigeria

603 new cases of Coronavirus were recorded in Nigeria on Saturday, July 4.   According to the Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC, Lagos recorded 135 new cases, Edo-87, FCT-73, Rivers-67, Delta-62, Ogun-47, Kaduna-20, Plateau-19, Osun-17, Ondo-16, Enugu-15, Oyo-15, Borno-13, Niger-6, Nasarawa-4, Kebbi-3, Kano-2, Sokoto-1, Abia-1.   Nigeria has now recorded 28,167 cases of COVID-19 with 634 deaths, while 11,462 patients have been discharged from various Isolation centers across the country.      See a break down of the cases in different states below.  

US Federal prosecutors officially charge Hushpuppi for fraud. Faces 20 years in US prison

Ramon Olorunwa Abbas a.k.a. “Ray Hushpuppi” now faces a statutory maximum sentence of 20 years in a US federal prison after being extradited from Dubai to the United States.    In a statement released by the US Department of Justice, the suspected Nigerian fraudster was accused of conspiring to launder hundreds of millions of dollars from business email compromise (BEC) frauds and other scams, including schemes targeting a U.S. law firm, a foreign bank and an English Premier League soccer club.   Hushpuppi made his initial U.S. court appearance this morning in Chicago, and he is expected to be transferred to Los Angeles in coming weeks.   Federal prosecutors who filed a criminal complaint filed on June 25, alleged that the suspected Nigerian fraudster is "one of the leaders of a transnational network that facilitates computer intrusions, fraudulent schemes (including BEC schemes), and money laundering, targeting victims around the world in schemes...
