Many of those who took part stri*ped off everything and painted themselves in tiger stripes before jogging among the caged animals. The annual event in question was the Zoological Society for London’s (ZSL) Streak for Tigers – which raises money to help protect tigers and their habitats around the world. Aug 20, 2017 7:00 AM A young man in his early twenties identified as Ifeanyi Dike has been arrested and paraded by the Rivers state police Command for allegedly raping and killing an eight year old girl in Port Harcourt. Spokesman of the Command, DSP Nnamdi Omoni while parading the suspect at the Command Headquarters in Port Harcourt said, Dike was arrested at Eliozu in Obio-Akpo Local Government area of the state. The Pro-Biafra group said the BSS would only gather intelligence and ensure that criminal elements do not compromise the safety and welfare of people residing in Biafraland. According to the Publicity Secretary of IPOB, Comrade Emma Powerful, the group would not be militarised as erroneously believed in some quarters and in various media reports. He also refuted the reports that the group leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu made uniforms for members of the group. Two members of the Indigenous People Of Biafra, IPOB, have been shot dead in Ekwulobia in Anambra State, the Nigeria Politics Online has learnt. They were allegedly killed by soldiers on Wednesday morning while waiting for the arrival of Nnamdi Kanu. The IPOB leader, Kanu is expected to visit Ekwulobia today in fulfillment of his plans to tour some states in the southern part of the country to further push the course of Biafra. At least 2 people have been confirmed dead at the moment but the number is expected to rise.

Nigerian security operatives have been accused of an assault on members of the ‘Biafra Security Service’ leading to the destruction of lives and properties. A report making rounds on social media has indicted the Nigerian military in a fresh onslaught on members of the Independent People of Biafra in Ekwulobia, Anambra State. Western Cape Police, South Africa have confirmed the death of a 26-year-old woman who went missing two weeks ago. Her family said Aviwe Jam Jam fled Khayelitsha, Cape Town in July, to escape her abusive boyfriend, Linda Nolili. She was last seen in the Summerville area in Kuilsriver after visiting Nolili. Jam Jam’s body was identified by her family on Tuesday, August 8th, after it was found dumped at the Vygieskraal Stadium, Athlone, on July 29, roughly 24km from her home. She had been brutally beaten to death.
