Sep 21, 2017 11:10 AM The Lagos State Police Command who arrested a 51-year-old popular independent oil marketer of Alaka petroleum, following allegations of sponsorship of recent badoo killings in Ikorodu, has demolished the cult group’s shrine.  The alleged Badoo shrine belonging to 51-year-old millionaire and independent oil marketer, Alhaji Abayomi Alaka, of Alaka Petroleum, that was uncovered in the Agbowa area of Ikorou, has been demolished by the Lagos state government. Recall that in August, the operatives of Nigerian Police arrested Alhaji Abayomi Alaka who denied being a member of the dreaded Badoo cult group, at his Magodo residence in Lagos after police swung into action following the death of five family members who were brutally murdered by the cult group in Ikorodu area of Lagos state. Separatist leader, Nnamdi Kanu has been sued to court over alleged utterances and actions that could militate against public peace.   Nnamdi Kanu An Anambra-based businessman, Dr. Richard Ndubuaku, has dragged the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and its leader, Nnamdi Kanu before the Federal High Court in Abuja, asking it to restrain them, their agents and members from making utterances or taking actions capable of jeopardising the conduct of election in the state. The plaintiff, in his suit marked FHC/ABJ/ CS/756/2017, applied for an order of injunction restraining Kanu and the IPOB from disrupting the governorship and House of Assembly elections billed to hold in Anambra State on November 18. Sep 11, 2017 1:45 PM A Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday dismissed the suit by Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye, challenging the validity the process of recalling him by his constituents. According to Punch, the case was dismissed by Justice Nnamdi Dimgba who ordered that the Independent National Electoral Commission  “shall proceed with the recall process”. The judgment effectively terminated the earlier ex parte order made by another judge of the Federal High Court in Abuja, Justice John Tsoho, on July 6, 2017, directing parties to maintain status quo. However, Justice Dimgba noted that the process shall only proceed subject to the service of the petition, the full list and signatures of persons in support of the recall process. The judge noted that the 90 days period within which the Constitution ordered the INEC to conduct a referendum on receiving the recall petition had been paused since June 23, when Melaye commenced the suit. News Express  gathered that the soldiers stormed the palace in an armoured tank and about three Hilux vans loaded with soldiers in a bid to arrest Kanu.
