Christian Group Wants CAN To Investigate Stephanie Otobo And Apostle Suleiman Sex Scandal

A Christian group, Concerned Christians, has called on the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) to investigate the allegations of sexual misconduct being made by Ms. Stephanie Otobo against Apostle Johnson Suleiman, founder of Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide.
In a statement signed by Mr. Yusuf Dav, the group's Secretary, Concerned Christians said there is a need for CAN to investigate the level of relationship between Ms.  Otobo and Apostle Suleiman.
"CAN as representative of the body of Christ in Nigeria should, as a matter of urgency, set up an independent committee to wade into the alleged adultery case with a view to knowing the truth and communicating with the body of Christ.
"It is pertinent to state that failure by CAN to investigate the matter will amount to spiritual recklessness and total disregard for our Lord Jesus Christ by the body," the group said.
Concerned Christians, which said it supported the pastor when he was invited by the Directorate for State Security, also called on Apostle Suleiman not to politicize the matter.
For more than a week, Ms. Otobo and Apostle Suleiman have been swapping allegations.  Ms. Otobo, whose no-holds-barred allegations have made Apostle Suleiman a figure of fun on social media, also claimed she was given a concoction to abort a pregnancy he had for the preacher. Apostle Suleiman described her as a blackmailer, who is being used to punish him for his criticism of certain government actions.
