Herbalist arrested for swindling businessman the sum of N4m

A 47-year-old fake herbalist, Abiodun David, has been arrested for allegedly defrauding a businessman of the sum of N4million.

The suspect was arrested by operatives of the Zonal Intervention Squad (ZIS) following a complaint made to the officer of the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Zone 2, by the victim.

The victim simply identified as Kazeem, had alleged that the fake herbalist collected the money from him on the pretense that he was going to prepare some herbs for him.

The complainant also alleged that the fake herbalist deceived him that the herb would enable him progress rapidly in his career. 

The victim, who claimed to be a cab driver in the US, alleged that he fell for the antics of the fraudster after months of persuasion.

The suspect according to spokesperson for the zone, Dolapo Badmos, would be charged to court for obtaining money under false pretence.
