Barcelona reject Messi demand one teammate be sold

Barcelona directors are at odds with Lionel Messi over the make-up of their squad.

Looking on from his summer break, Messi has expressed frustration over Barca's first few weeks of summer market work.

Don Balon says the Argentine also wants to see at least four of the current squad shipped out: Munir El Haddadi, Thomas Vermaelen, Arda Turan and Andre Gomes.

Barca's board are in agreement with Messi over the first three, but have informed the midfielder that Gomes is staying.

Gomes' agent, Jorge Mendes, has been in regular contact with Barca chief Robert Fernandez since the end of last season and during discussions over various players, he has been assured the Portugal international is a required player for next season.

Animal lovers streaked unclad through London Zoo on a sponsored run to help save tigers from extinction. Many of those who took part stri*ped off everything and painted themselves in tiger stripes before jogging among the caged animals. The annual event in question was the Zoological Society for London’s (ZSL) Streak for Tigers – which raises money to help protect tigers and their habitats around the world. Tigers are classed as an endangered species with global populations on the decrease due to poaching and the increasing destruction of their natural habitats. It’s believed that there are now less than 6,000 wild tigers left worldwide. The event began at 7pm and the so-called Tiger Streakers – because a group of tigers is called a streak – were encouraged to let go of all their inhibitions and go completely unclad for a whole five to ten minutes.
