Navy personnel at the Nigerian Navy Secondary School, Imeri, Ondo State on Monday brutalised a man for daring to complain that they disrupted a queue at a FIRST Bank ATM in Idoani Ose Local Government Area.

An eyewitness who dared to report the incident to the bank’s branch manager was also slapped.

The officers, six in number, had arrived at the bank around 9.30am but met a long queue because it was a market day and the First Bank branch was the only one in the area.

However, instead of waiting their turn or seek permission from those already in the queue, they proceeded to the front of the queue but the man whose turn it was to withdraw protested, pleading that he had been at the bank since 5am.

The eyewitness said one of the low ranking officers slapped the man before the others joined in beating him up.

The branch manager, who saw the melee on his CCTV put a call through to the commandant of the Nigerian Navy Secondary School, Imeri, to report the incident.
