With her on the Red Table Talk was her husband, Will Smith, who August claims gave him permission to date his wife.
Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith admitted that Jada and August Alsina had a romantic relationship 4 and a half years ago but they claim they were separated at the time and didn't think they'll get back together. The couple, however, denied August Alsina's claim that Will Smith gave him permission to date Jada.
They said that Will couldn't have given permission since he and Jada were separated and it was Jada's decision to make.
Jada said it began with her being concerned about August's health and trying to help him heal. They later started dating.
Despite her relationship with August, Jada and Will's marriage is still as strong as ever and they joked about it using a famous line from Will's movie Bad Boys For Life, but tweaking it a little.
Will and Jada said in unison: "We ride together, we die together. Bad marriage for life."
Recall that shortly after August Alsina granted an interview to say he dated Jada with Will's marriage permission, Jada's rep denounced the claim saying it was "absolutely not true."
