PDP Structure Reportedly Collapses in Delta As Ex Governor, Okowa, Others Defect to APC

Ifeanyi Okowa, a former Governor of Delta State and Vice Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

This was disclosed on Wednesday shortly after a meeting at the Delta State Government House, Asaba.

Okowa, before the announcement, said in his dialect, while addressing the people, that he would take the best decision.

“Be assured that we will not go in the wrong direction. We will take the best direction, the best path for our people,” Okowa said.

According to reports all PDP party structure in Delta State has decamped to the APC:

The Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, his Deputy Governor, former Governor Okowa, members of the State Assembly, the speaker, Local Government Chairmen, and PDP Local Government Chairmen will be formally received into the APC next Monday in Asaba.
